When Cadeo speaks up
Most of the time Cadeo waits for you. Occasionally, when something is genuinely worth your attention, it will surface a single quiet line next to the pilot light in the sidebar — a proactive moment.
A moment is one sentence with one action attached. Click it to act; ignore it and it fades on its own after a few seconds.
What it says
Cadeo only speaks up for things a good chief of staff would walk into your office for — never a tip, never a feature tour. Today there are two:
-
After a meeting — when a recording finishes and Cadeo has pulled out action items:
That meeting left you four action items.
Click it to open the meeting's notes and insights.
-
When tasks pile up — when several tasks have slipped past their scheduled day:
Five tasks have quietly slipped past their day.
Click it to plan your day (or, on the free tier / in local-only mode, to jump to your overdue tasks).
How it stays out of the way
Proactive moments are held to a deliberately high bar:
- Rare — at most one a day, and never more than one on screen at a time.
- Never intrusive — nothing appears while you're recording, while a dialog is open, or while you're already looking at the thing it would point to.
- It learns — dismiss (or ignore) the same kind of moment a few times and Cadeo stops showing that kind for a couple of weeks.
- Private — every moment is worked out on your device. Nothing about them is sent to a cloud AI, and moments that would rely on cloud AI simply don't appear when you're in local-only mode.
Turning it off
Settings → AI → "Cadeo can speak up on its own." It's on by default; switch it off for complete silence — Cadeo will only ever appear when you open it yourself.
