Right-click quick actions
Right-click any task, note, or event to open a quick action menu. No more hunting through modals or hover buttons.
What you can do
Tasks (15 actions)
- Schedule, set a deadline, duration, repeat
- Set priority, tags, project, area
- Assign to a teammate (shared projects only)
- Mark complete / reopen
- Duplicate
- Convert to note
- Copy link
- Share the project
- Delete
Notes (10 actions)
- Rename
- Add tags
- Move to a project or area
- Duplicate
- Export as Markdown
- Copy link
- Share with a teammate
- Archive
- Delete
Events (8 actions)
- Reschedule
- Change duration
- Edit title
- Convert to a task
- Link to a task or note
- Start recording — only when the event is within ±15 minutes of starting
- Copy link
- Delete
Events on read-only synced calendars (Google or Apple) only show the actions Cadeo can do without modifying the calendar — Convert to task, Link to task/note, and Copy link. Anything that would write back to the calendar is hidden.
Smart suggestions
The top of the menu shows your three most-used actions for that entity type, in a bolder style. The things you reach for often are always one click away.
Keyboard
- ↑ ↓ move between items
- Enter invoke the highlighted item
- First letter jump to the next matching item
- Escape close the menu
Command bar (⌘K)
The same quick actions are now surfaced in the command bar. Press ⌘K, and a "Quick actions for: …" section appears at the top of the results with every applicable action for the currently-selected entity. Click one to execute it immediately.
iPad
Two-finger tap on any task, note, or event to open the same menu. Single-finger long-press continues to trigger drag-to-reorder as before, so the two gestures don't collide.
