Confirmations and Undo

After you create, move or file something, a small confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen. It's more useful than it looks.

Click to Open

When a confirmation refers to a specific item — a task you just created, a note filed into an area — it shows an Open › hint. Click it to jump straight to that item.

Today this covers tasks, notes and newly created areas. Most of them are task confirmations: quick-add, "Added to This Week", "moved to Backlog", "filed in area" and similar.

  • The message is a real button, so Tab reaches it and Enter or Space opens the item
  • Clickable confirmations stay on screen a little longer, and pause while you hover or focus them, so you have time to reach them
  • Opening the item dismisses the confirmation
tip

Handy after quick capture: add a task from anywhere, then click the confirmation to open it and add detail — no hunting for it in a list.

Which Ones Are Clickable

Only confirmations that point at something openable. These stay as plain messages:

  • Errors and failures ("Couldn't save")
  • Deletions
  • "Copied", "Exported" and similar
  • Bulk actions affecting many items at once
  • Confirmations that appear while you already have that item open

If there's no Open › hint, there's nothing to open.

Undo

Some actions offer Undo in the confirmation — completing a task, for example. Undo is a separate button: clicking it undoes the action and never navigates anywhere.

If the Item Has Gone

If you delete something and then click a confirmation that pointed at it, Cadeo tells you the item is no longer available rather than opening an empty screen.
