Creating Your First Task
Learn how to create tasks in Cadeo and start organizing your work.
Quick Task Creation
The fastest way to create a task is from the Inbox:
- Go to Inbox (click the inbox icon in the sidebar)
- Click the input field at the top
- Type your task title
- Press Enter
Your task is created and ready to be organized.
Using Natural Language
Cadeo understands natural language for dates and times. Try typing:
- "Buy groceries tomorrow"
- "Call mom next Monday at 3pm"
- "Review report Friday"
As you type, Cadeo highlights the detected date in blue. Press Enter to create the task with that schedule automatically applied.
tip
You can cancel the date detection by backspacing into the highlighted text.
Task Properties
Click on any task to open the detail modal and set:

| Title | The task name |
| Notes | Rich text description |
| Project | Assign to a project |
| Area | Assign to an area of responsibility |
| Schedule | When to work on it |
| Duration | How long it will take |
| Deadline | When it's due |
| Priority | P1, P2, or P3 |
