End of Day Reflection

A frictionless wrap-up ritual that appears at the end of your working day, lists what you completed, and lets you roll incomplete tasks forward in one tap.

It's designed to be small, opt-out-able, and respectful of your routine — you should never feel like an app is nagging you to "be productive."

When does it appear?

By default, the sheet fires:

  • At the end of your working day — derives the time from Settings → General → Time & Date → Working Hours. If your workday ends at 17:00, the sheet appears at 17:00.
  • Monday to Friday — weekend work doesn't trigger it unless you change the weekday setting.
  • Only when there's something to wrap — if you have no completed and no open tasks for the day, the sheet stays hidden.

If you miss the wrap (closed the app, were in a meeting, didn't respond), an optional next-morning recovery snackbar offers to do the wrap for yesterday with one click.

Trigger it manually

Two ways to bring up the sheet on demand:

  • Cmd-K → type "wrap" → select Wrap up the day
  • Settings → Notifications → End of Day Reflection → click Try it now under the time picker

The 17:00 (or whatever your end-of-day time is) auto-trigger won't fire on a day you've already wrapped — once a day, intentional.

What's inside the sheet

Three steps. You can dismiss at any point.

  1. Review — a count of tasks you completed today and the titles. If zero, a gentle "no completions today, that's fine." Click Next to continue, or Not today to dismiss.
  2. Rollover — for each open task, choose where it goes: Tomorrow, This week, Someday, or Done (mark complete). Click Apply & continue.
  3. Close — "See you tomorrow." Click Done.

Tips

  • Right-click the sheet to jump straight to its settings without hunting through tabs.
  • The Not today button dismisses without affecting your auto-trigger. Use this when you're not done for the day yet.
  • The "you can change when this appears" hint under the sheet body shows once on your first encounter then auto-dismisses. Don't worry — it's not a permanent footer.
