Task Rollover
When you open Cadeo each day, any incomplete tasks from previous days are surfaced inside the Morning Brief so you can decide what to do with them.
How It Works
The Morning Brief opens automatically the first time you sign in each day. It shows yesterday's open tasks plus a small AI-ranked tail of older items still worth doing. You can also open it on demand from the command bar (Cmd+K → "Show morning brief") or via the planner's "Morning brief" entry.
This rollover surface runs once per calendar day; if you've already triaged it today, you won't see it again until tomorrow.
Options Per Task
For each rolled-over task, choose one of:
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Today (default in Morning Brief) | Reschedule to today |
| Tomorrow (default in End-of-Day Reflection) | Reschedule to tomorrow |
| This Week | Float in your "This Week" view (no specific day) |
| Next Week (default on weekends) | Float in your "Next Week" view; rolls into "This Week" automatically on Monday |
| Someday | Move to "Someday" for later |
| Done | Mark the task as done |
The This Week and Next Week options are floating buckets — the task stays in your weekly view without committing to a specific day. You can promote it to a specific day by dragging it onto a calendar slot. See This Week and Next Week for more.
