Connecting Google Calendar
Connect your Google Calendar to see events in Cadeo.
Prerequisites
- A Google account
- Calendar events you want to sync
How to Connect
- Go to Settings (gear icon in sidebar)
- Find Google Calendar section
- Click Connect Google Calendar
- Sign in with your Google account
- Click Allow to grant permissions
Permissions
Cadeo requests permission to:
- View your calendar events
- Create and edit events
- See your calendar list
These permissions let Cadeo display events and create new ones.
After Connecting
Once connected:
- Events appear in Today and Week views
- You can create events from Cadeo
- RSVP to meetings directly
- Take meeting notes
Multiple Accounts
You can connect multiple Google accounts:
- Click Add Another Account
- Sign in with the additional account
- Events from all accounts appear together
Reconnecting an account
If your calendar events stop appearing and you see a token or permission error, your Google connection may need to be refreshed. To reconnect:
- Go to Settings → Calendars
- Find the affected account in the Connected Google Accounts list
- Click the Reconnect button next to it
- Sign in to Google again and approve the permissions
Reconnecting works for any connected Google account, including the one you originally signed into Cadeo with. The Reconnect flow always prompts Google for fresh permissions, so it reliably captures a new refresh token and brings your calendar back to life.
If your primary (login) account needs reconnecting, the Reconnect button is there but the Remove button is hidden — this is intentional, so you can't accidentally sign yourself out of Cadeo.
Disconnecting
To disconnect a secondary account:
- Go to Settings → Calendars
- Find the account and click the × (remove) button
- Calendar events from that account will no longer appear
Your primary login account cannot be disconnected from here — to change which Google account you sign in with, sign out of Cadeo entirely and sign back in with a different account.
After connecting, go to Settings → Calendars to choose which calendars to display.
