Task Duration & Resizing

Adjust how long tasks take by resizing them on the timeline.

Resizing Tasks

1. Hover over the bottom edge of a scheduled task
2. A resize handle appears
3. Drag down to increase duration
4. Drag up to decrease duration

Duration snaps to 15-minute increments.

Duration Preview

While resizing:

• A tooltip shows the new duration
• The task preview updates in real-time
• Red highlighting warns of conflicts

Conflict Detection

If resizing would overlap another event:

• The preview turns red
• You can still resize, but it's a warning
• Maximum duration is capped at the next event

Setting Duration in Modal

You can also set duration in the task details:

1. Click the task to open details
2. Find the Duration field
3. Select from presets or enter custom time

Default Duration

New scheduled tasks default to 60 minutes. You can change this in Settings.

tip

Minimum duration is 15 minutes.
