AI Task Breakdown
Break down complex tasks into actionable subtasks using AI.
How to Use
- Open any task modal
- Click the lightning bolt button in the toolbar
- Wait for AI to generate subtask suggestions
- Review the suggested subtasks, each with an estimated duration
- Select or deselect individual subtasks using the checkboxes
- Click Create N subtasks to add the selected items
What You Get
The AI analyzes your task title and notes, then suggests a set of concrete, actionable subtasks. Each suggestion includes:

Selecting Subtasks
- All subtasks are selected by default
- Use Select all to toggle all at once
- The footer shows how many are selected and the total estimated duration
- The Create button updates dynamically with the count
What Gets Inherited
Created subtasks automatically inherit from the parent task:
- Project assignment
- Area assignment
- Section (within a project)

Tips
- Works best with descriptive task titles
- Add notes to your task for more context-aware suggestions
- Uses your daily AI request allowance (shown in AI Settings)
